IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa senior running back Jordan Canzeri has been named to the 2015 Doak Walker Award Watch List. The award is presented annually to the nation’s top college running back. The list of candidates was announced Thursday by the PwC SMU Athletic Forum.
Canzeri (5-foot-10, 205 pounds) is a senior from Troy, New York (Troy High School). A year ago he rushed 102 times for 494 yards, had nine receptions for 123 yards and one touchdown, and averaged 19.3 yards on seven kickoff returns. He led Iowa’s rushing attack in the 2015 TaxSlayer Bowl, rushing 12 times for 120 yards.
