The Black & Gold Rundown is a feature that comes out every morning that keeps Hawkeye fans up to date on the latest in Hawkeye sports. Today features a former Hawkeye, his big pay day, and Iowa’s Co-Big Ten Player of the Week.
Two stars. That’s what former Iowa defensive tackle and current Green Bay Packer, Mike Daniels, was rated by Rivals coming out of high school. This is a guy that, if he hadn’t picked up an offer from the Iowa Hawkeyes, he probably would’ve played his college ball at FCS Villanova.
Well, Daniels has proven everybody wrong and, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Daniels signed a 4 year $42 million extension on Monday making him the 3rd highest paid 3-4 defensive end in the league.
