The Iowa Hawkeyes got their second straight road win with a thorough crushing of the Maryland Terrapins earlier this week. Now Iowa returns home to Carver to exact some revenge on Minnesota after falling to the Gophers in overtime on Christmas Day.
The loss, which came after Iowa led by as many as 7 with less than a minute to go in regulation, remains Iowa’s only conference loss of the year. Minnesota, meanwhile, has gone 2-2 since that time. Their two wins came at home while the Gophers have now lost all three of their conference road games by an average of more than 24 points.
