2021 NFL Draft Profile: Daviyon Nixon DL Iowa

Although short lived, Daviyon Nixon’s impact was significant during his tenure as an Iowa Hawkeye, as he went on to record 19 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and a big guy pick-six against Penn State in 2020 that just so happened to go viral.

With day one of the draft in the books, Nixon has yet to hear his name be called. However, almost certainly on day two of the draft, Nixon will be finding out which city he’ll be calling home for the foreseeable future.

From an evaluation perspective, Nixon has all the makings of being the next big Iowa football success story on the defensive line, as he’s a big, disruptive playmaker with excellent technical skills who excels in both the run game and as a pass rusher.
