Wolves are right to reject any offers for Ruben Neves due to the Manchester City target’s importance to the team, according to the club’s former defender Joleon Lescott.
The midfielder has been a star turn for Wolves since joining from Porto last summer in a £15.8m switch and his performances have caught the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs, with City having considered a move before the close of the transfer window and reports suggesting Manchester United are also interested.
So far this campaign, he has played every minute of Wolves’ Premier League season and has registered one goal and one assist in seven outings.
