Acquired from D.C. United last week, the Argentine striker will now leave MLS for Liga MX.
The Vancouver Whitecaps have transferred forward Fabian Espindola to Liga MX side Necaxa, parting ways with the veteran less than a week after acquiring him in a trade with D.C. United.
Vancouver announced the deal Tuesday night, referring to an "undisclosed transfer fee" but indicating the club yielded more allocation money in the sale than it sent to United in last week's trade.
"We acquired Fabian last week as we felt he would be a good addition to our team," Whitecaps coach Carl Robinson said in a news release.
