After an up-and-down campaign with Perth Glory, the Socceroos defender has headed east, while the Sky Blues have made another important re-signing
Melbourne Victory have confirmed the signing of Rhys Williams for the next two A-League seasons, while Sydney FC have secured Jordy Buijs' signature on a new one-year contract.
Victory coach Kevin Muscat underlined the importance of Williams' versatility after confirming the ex-Perth Glory defender has joined the Big V.
After a somewhat tumultuous year with his hometown club, Williams has decided to move east and the 28-year-old, who can play at centre-back, full-back and in midfield, is likely to anchor Victory's defence next term after the release of Alan Baro and Nick Ansell last week.
