River dominated Vasco, but Nene hit a free kick to get the win for the Brazilians
In the Florida Cup Playoffs third-place game, Vasco defeated River Plate, by a 1-0 scoreline. Vasco star Nenê scored the sole goal in the match held at the Bright House Network Stadium, in Orlando.
The first half was dominated by River Plate and Martin Silva was under constant pressure. The goalkeeper, however, made some superb saves and Vasco even managed to have the half's best opportunity, which was spurned by Thalles.
