Melbourne Victory were thorougly outclassed in a 4-0 loss to Guangzhou Evergrande on Wednesday night which leaves their Asian Champions League campaign hanging by a thread.
Kevin Muscat's side boasted more possession and completed more passes than their Chinese opponents but were undone in defense as Talisca bagged two goals in the first 10 minutes.
Victory have now lost their first three group games in the competition leaving Carl Valeri to questions his side's approach.
