Sydney FC have stepped up their pursuit of Melbourne Victory attacker Kosta Barbarouses by offering him a lucrative, long-term marquee deal.
The Covert Agent can reveal the Sky Blues have put a three-year deal worth $2.5 million on the table in a huge show of faith from the club in the Kiwi.
Barbarouses is also weighing up two offers from the Middle East and has expressed a desire to play abroad again but with a baby on the way may be tempted to stay in Australia.
The 29-year-old is coming off the back of a career-best season with Victory where he scored 15 goals and picked up four assists in the A-League.
