2017 AFC Cup kicks off with a new format, and the experienced Singaporean side take on a Malaysian club that are making their continental debut.
The AFC Cup returns this year with a new format, and Group G will see Tampines Rovers FC of Singapore taking on Felda United FC of Malaysia, on Tuesday at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
The home side are no stranger to the continental competitions, but for the visitors, this will be their first ever action at the Asian level.
Having been established in 2007, the Fighters qualified for this year's competition by virtue of their second-place finish in last season's Malaysia Super League (MSL), their highest ever finish in the Malaysian football pyramid, as the league champions JDT have already qualified by also winning the Malaysian FA Cup.
