The striker departs after one season, which included a MLS Goal of the Year award for his solo strike against the Portland Timbers on Oct. 3
After one productive season in Major League Soccer, Krisztian Nemeth is headed to the Middle East.
Sporting Kansas City announced on Friday night that the club has agreed to transfer the Hungarian forward to Al-Gharafa SC in Qatar. The MLS side will receive two-thirds of the transfer fee, per league policy.
Nemeth, 27, scored 10 goals and added six assists with Sporting KC in 2015. After reportedly asking for a raise this offseason, the club instead found a suitor for the forward from overseas.
