Several suitors are expected to emerge for the Portland Timbers captain, with TFC and the Fire among the frontrunners, according to Goal's Ives Galarcep.
Out-of-favor Portland Timbers midfielder Will Johnson may have a new MLS home soon, with Toronto FC and the Chicago Fire leading the race for his services.
Sources tell Goal's Ives Galarcep that the two Eastern Conference teams are at the head of the pack for the 28-year-old's signature, with Johnson expected to have some say into his future destination. The Canadian international is still under contract with Portland, but he found himself on the sidelines during the team's late-season charge into the playoffs and subsequent MLS Cup victory.
