Italian giant Roma has had its defense ravaged by injuries and is understandably hesitant to let the in-demand Greek international leave the club.
Roma has told interested clubs they will have to pay 45 million euros ($50M) to sign defender Kostas Manolas this summer, Goal UKunderstands.
The Greek center back has been courted by Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United over the past few weeks, although those clubs are yet to lodge an official bid for the highly rated 24-year-old.
Manolas, who replaced Medhi Benatia at the Stadio Olimpico after joining from Olympiacos last season, impressed with a series of confident performances in defense for Luciano Spalletti's men domestically and in the Champions League.
