With a 2-1 victory over the Whitecaps, New England earned its first away win in MLS this season and its first three-point haul in Vancouver.
VANCOUVER – Road trips can either be enduring or inspiring. New England Revolution made it the latter on Saturday afternoon after claiming its first away victory of the MLS season at the Vancouver Whitecaps.
The 2-1 triumph - compliments of a first goal in MLS by London Woodberry and a fine second-half strike by Kelyn Rowe - was also New England’s first league win in Vancouver in three attempts. The result also made it three league wins in the last four for Jay Heaps’ men, who were made to scrap for the three points after still feeling the effects of a midweek result in the fourth round of the Lamar Hunt U.
