Orlando Pirates were on the wrong end of a 4-0 hiding at the hands of Raja Casablanca at the Stade Mohamed V on Sunday evening as the Buccaneers crashed out of the Caf Confederation Cup at the quarter-final stage.
It wasn’t just the scoreline which would have hurt the Sea Robbers supporters, but the insipid, error-strewn performance on display.
Perhaps things could have been different if Josef Zinnbauer’s side had bagged an early goal - with five minutes on the clock, Pirates had the first opening of the game and should have scored when Siphesihle Ndlovu went clear in on goal, but his side-footed finish lacked conviction and allowed goalkeeper Anas Zniti to make the save.
