Barcelona midfielder Rafinha has revealed the severity of the head cut that forced him off during his side’s 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao - and be warned it is not one for the faint-hearted.

He was forced off after 54 minutes, to be replaced by Ivan Rakitic, after clashing with his own goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The 23-year-old was treated on the pitch for several minutes before being taken off with his head bandaged and it’s little surprise after he showed off his injury.

Barcelona also lost Gerard Pique to injury, the defender replaced at half-time by Javier Mascherano as a precautionary measure, and Luis Enrique is now sweating on their fitness ahead of a Copa del Rey second leg against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
