Just hours after Mark Rudan's tenure as Wellington Phoenix came to an end after a 3-1 loss to Melbourne Victory, the club have confirmed Ufuk Talay as their coach for next season.
Talay is currently the assistant coach at Sydney FC and has previously been the head coach of Australia's U20's side.
While Rudan's departure has left some big shoes to fill after the Nix made finals for the first time in four years, club chairman Rob Morrison clearly believes Talay is the right man for the job.
