Osorio, players take on blame for lopsided Mexico loss

The Mexico manager said he did very little right Saturday, though his players said they also were part of the reason for the historic defeat.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Mexico was blown out 7-0 by Chile in Saturday's Copa America Centenario but rather than duck blame, manager Juan Carlos Osorio took it all upon himself.

"I think I made a mistake in everything. I take responsibility for the selection of the group. We wanted to play a match in which we fought for possession, and I think that although we used three midfielders like they did, we were never able to control the possession.
