The general manager, who led the team's transition from USL to MLS, is set to leave the club.
Orlando City continues to shake things up this offseason.
General manager Paul McDonough and Orlando City have mutually agreed to part ways, the club announced Wednesday, with newly hired chief soccer officer Armando Carneiro taking the lead on personnel decisions.
McDonough leaves Orlando after leading the franchise's transition from USL to MLS over the past two years. The executive will remain with the club through a brief transition period, during which he will assist with this month's re-entry draft.
