Orlando City has confirmed the club has come to an agreement with Turkish side Besiktas over the transfer of Cyle Larin.
The move ended a dispute between the MLS side and the Turkish club over Larin, who had previously undergone a physical with Besiktas against Orlando City's wishes.
But on Tuesday, Orlando City confirmed the 22-year-old Canadian forward is on his way to Turkey – albeit with a statement that barely concealed the club's bitterness at the situation.
"Although the club was disappointed with the unacceptable behavior of the athlete and his representatives, a decision was taken to guarantee compensation with the club’s future in mind," Orlando City said in a team release.
