The Nigeria U23 team on Saturday started their campaign at the ongoing 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations on a losing note as they were defeated 1-0 at Al-Salaam Stadium by their West African neighbours Cote d'Ivoire.
Silas Gnaka’s solitary goal from the penalty spot in the 78th minute made all the difference as Nigeria’s recent poor run at age-grade competitions continued.
