Underachieving has become synonymous with the Philadelphia Union during their six-year history, but the club appears to have taken some big steps this offseason toward shedding that label.
The Union have only made the MLS playoffs once in their history, and 2015 was the club's fourth consecutive season missing the postseason. That kind of track record calls for changes to be made, but the most important Union newcomer won't be a part of the playing squad.
