Three Mexicans won a title this weekend, but even that triumph was overshadowed by good news for the Mexico national team.
Less than two months after suffering a fracture in his clavicle with El Tri, defender Carlos Salcedo returned to the field for Eintracht Frankfurt and helped his club to a 3-0 win over Hamburg on Sunday. He played 90 minutes as the left center back in Niko Kovac's three-man back line and looks ready not only to help Frankfurt chase a Europa League place but also to start for Mexico at the World Cup. Marco Fabian was an unused substitute.
