Mbaye Niang was on the scoresheet in Rennes’ 3-2 victory over Dijon in Friday’s French Ligue 1 game at the Stade Gaston Gerard.
The Senegal international took his tally to eight goals this season as the Red and Blacks returned to winning ways following their draw against Angers, loss to Nimes and last Sunday’s stalemate with Nice.
Rennes started the game on the back foot with Nayef Aguerd’s 20th-minute opener but in the 52nd minute, they levelled through Adrien Hunou.
Benjamin Jeannot restored the lead to Dijon three minutes later before Niang brought his side back to contention with his 61st-minute effort.
