The 26-year-old, who began his career at United's academy before leaving in 2012, has been one of the standout stars in the Foxes' title-winning campaign.
Manchester United has been urged to sign Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater by former first-team coach Rene Meulensteen.
Drinkwater came through United’s academy ranks but failed to make a first-team appearance for the club before eventually joining Leicester in 2012.
The 26-year-old has been a pivotal figure in the Foxes’ Premier League title success this season and Meulensteen says the midfielder would be a positive acquisition for United.
“Drinkwater has a Manchester United history having come through the academy and look how he’s established himself in the Premier League,” the Dutchman told 888sport.
