The former MLS veteran has been hired as executive vice president of soccer operations for the expansion club, which will kick off in 2018.
Los Angeles FC won't take the field until 2018, but the club already has found its man to pull the strings in the front office.
LAFC announced the hiring of John Thorrington as executive vice president of soccer operations Tuesday, with the MLS veteran put in charge of "player and personnel decisions," according to a news release.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to help assemble a team that will represent our city and our community,” Thorrington said.
