Chelsea and Manchester United will need to look elsewhere for a new centre-half after seeing Kalidou Koulibaly commit to a new five-year contract at Napoli.
The Senegal international has been targeted by Premier League clubs for some time, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City all credited with holding an interest in the past.
He will, however, be staying put this summer after penning fresh terms in Italy.
De Laurentiis is delighted to have got a deal over the line, with three clubs having put €90 million (£80m/$104m) offers on the table for the highly-rated 27-year-old.
