Kevin Sheedy backs 'leader' Seamus Coleman to shine at Euro 2016

Former Republic of Ireland international Kevin Sheedy has backed Seamus Coleman to shine at Euro 2016.

Everton youth coach Sheedy, who played for the Boys in Green at the 1988 European Championship in Germany, believes that Coleman has matured as a senior international and says that he will "do really well" at the tournament in France.

"Seamus has become a leader in that group," Sheedy told the official Everton website.

"He has shown all the attributes he has at Everton on the international stage now and it is no surprise that Martin has made him captain in games.
