Juan Carlos Osorio concerned by Mexico conceding set-piece goal

The Mexico manager has only seen his team concede twice since he took over in fall 2015, but is concerned because both those goals came from set pieces.

HOUSTON — Mexico manager Juan Carlos Osorio says his team must do better defending set pieces after Venezuela opened the scoring from a dead ball in a 1-1 draw Monday.

Mexico has conceded just twice in the 10 matches played under Osorio's watch, but both goals have come from set pieces. In Mexico's first group match, Uruguay center back Diego Godin nodded home from a Carlos Sanchez free kick.
