Alex Iwobi will improve at a more rapid rate at Everton than he would have, had he stayed at Arsenal, says Toffees legend Joseph Yobo.
Since making his Arsenal senior team bow in 2015, Iwobi made 148 appearances, scoring 15 goals winning one FA Cup and two FA Community Shields in the process.
However, the arrival of Nicolas Pepe meant the 23-year-old left his boyhood club for a five-year contract with Marco Silva’s men in a deal worth £40 million.
Some have questioned Iwobi’s move to Goodison Park, but Yobo believes it was the right move for his compatriot at the right time.
