Inter Milan find themselves out of the Champions League and the Europa League this term following their 0-0 draw against Shakhtar Donetsk this evening. The Ukrainian side finish third in Group B ahead of Antonio Conte's men as a result of their point at San Siro. Inter had one of those days in front of goal as Lautaro Martinez hit the bar, Anatolii Trubin denied Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez placed a header narrowly over the bar. Inter finish bottom of the group and their failure has cost them their European status this season. Shakhtar remain alive in the Europa League, allowing Real Madrid and Borussia Monchengladbach to advance to the knockout stage.
