Russian president Vladimir Putin has reaffirmed his belief that suspended FIFA president Sepp Blatter should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize despite the corruption scandal engulfing world football's governing body.
Blatter faces a FIFA hearing on Thursday before FIFA ethics judge Hans-Joachim Eckert in Zurich over a two million Swiss franc (£1.35m) payment made to UEFA president Michel Platini by FIFA in 2011, with a decision expected on Monday next week.
