The 20-year-old cut inside Reds full-back Andrew Robertson with ease to set up the opportunity before smashing past goalkeeper Alisson from a tight angle. Earlier in the match, he set up his side's second goal by beating several defenders before proving team-mate Ilkay Gundogan with a tap-in.
Manchester City moved 10 points ahead of Liverpool in the Premier League table with the win and now hold a five-point advantage over Manchester United at the top with a game in hand.
