Gbenga Arokoyo has joined Swedish outfit Kalmar from Major League Soccer side Atlanta United for an undisclosed fee.
The defender arrived the Atlanta outfit from Portland Timbers in December 2017 after overcoming an Achilles tendon tear.
The club announced the capture of the former Nigeria U20 player on Wednesday.
“Today, this morning, a further boost to Kalmar FF became clear. The player who joins is Gbenga Arokoyo midfielder from Atlanta United,” read a statement on the club’s website.
“He underwent a medical examination on Wednesday and has joined his new teammates on the training camp in Estepona.
