The former Manchester United defender felt his side should have had a penalty shortly after conceding an all-important Aritz Aduriz away goal against Athletic Club.

Valencia trailed by a single goal going into the second leg clash but looked set to book a place in the quarterfinals after Santi Mina and Aderllan Santos put the hosts up 2-1 on aggregate.
But Aritz Aduriz - the top scorer in the Europa League - scored in the 75th minute to send the visitors through on away goals.
