Melbourne Victory's fringe players have been put on notice with the futures mentioned by coach Kevin Muscat ahead of Wednesday night's Asian Champions League dead rubber against Daegu.
With Victory unable to progress to the ACL knockout stage, Muscat has opted to rest several big-name stars for Sunday's elimination final versus Sydney FC - including Keisuke Honda, Ola Toivonen, Kosta Barbarouses and Terry Antonis.
But the Victory boss says there is plenty to compete for in Korea, highlighting several players who will be playing for their futures - as well as the chance to take on the Sky Blues for a spot in the A-League grand final.
