Two-time National Soccer League champion Nikola Mrdja is facing 23 serious drugs, weapons and stolen property charges, according to The West Australian.
The 40-year-old, who played for Perth Glory in the NSL before winning a Premiers Plate with Central Coast Mariners in the A-League, fronted a brief court hearing on Wednesday with his lawyer revealing he intends to plead not guilty to all charges.
Mrdja's charges include 10 counts of aggravated possession of a firearm, two counts of possession of a silencer, possession of methamphetamine and three counts of possession of stolen property.
The one-time Socceroo has had his bail extended until his next court hearing on June 5.
