Florida Cup: 'Alexis is a premier league star,' Nelson Vivas declares

The current Estudiantes de La Plata coach knows what its like to play at Arsenal and told Goal that he didn't expect the Chilean to adapt so fast there.

During the Florida Cup, Estudiantes de La Plata coach Nelson Viva, stopped to talk about an old love: Arsenal.

The former Argentine defender played two seasons with the Gunners, where he was led by Arsene Wenger and won four titles with the London team.

Asked about Chilean Alexis Sánchez, Vivas was very honest. "His performance has been very good, the truth that it was difficult for me to adapt to life in England and I thought that with Alexis was going to happen the same thing, being Latin, living in London, beyond the city it offers you absolutely everything, the customs are very different, the days are very short, the cold is very intense and the language is a barrier that is often difficult to get around, so from that side I thought that Alexis was going to cost more," explained the coach to Goal.
