The World Cup-winning forward is to call time on a two-year stint in Turkey with Galatasaray and take on a new challenge in Asia with Vissel Kobe
Lukas Podolski has announced that he is to leave Galatasaray at the end of the season and link up with J League side Vissel Kobe.
The World Cup-winning forward has a year left to run on his contract in Turkey.
An approach for his services has been accepted, though, with reports suggesting that a €2.6 million deal will take him to Asia.
Podolski is looking forward to taking on a new challenge after enjoying many productive years in Europe.
