Nigeria head coach Thomas Dennerby named his 23-player Women's World Cup squad on Friday, two weeks prior to the team's opening game against Norway in France.
Dennerby's final squad for their eighth appearance at the global stage were made up of three goalkeepers, five defenders, six midfielders and eight forwards.
Evelyn Nwabuoku is top of the surprises list, with the midfielder having earned a World Cup spot after missing the African Cup of Nations back-to-back.
However, the 33-year-old claimed her spot following her impressive display in a new defensive role in Nigeria's Wafu Women's Cup triumph in Abidjan.
