Mexico interim manager Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti wants to see more Mexican players and managers get opportunities in Mexican football but said Diego Maradona is welcome in the country.
The Argentine legend was announced Thursday as the new head coach of second-division side Dorados de Sinaloa. Ferretti, who was born in Brazil but has been in Mexico for the last four decades, said Maradona and other foreign managers can help develop young players for the national team and said he hopes things go well for the 57-year-old.
"If someone comes and leaves important things for a player and Mexican soccer, I don’t see any problem.
