El Hadji Diouf backs Morocco to make history in Russia

Former Senegal international El Hadji Diouf is backing Morocco to make history at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The North Africans who are making their first appearance in the tourney since 1998 have been zoned with Iran, Portugal and Spain in Group B.

On Friday, the Atlas Lions defeated Serbia 2-1 in an international friendly encounter as part of their preparation for the global tournament.

And the 37-year-old who led Senegal to a quarter-final finish at the 2002 edition of the showpiece is optimistic that Herve Renard’s side can make Africans proud in the summer.
