The Tottenham youth product makes his return to San Jose, this time on a permanent deal as a designated player
The San Jose Earthquakes have announced that the club has signed midfielder Simon Dawkins as a designated player.
Dawkins, 28, makes his return to San Jose, where he spent two seasons on loan from 2011-12. Dawkins made 53 league appearances during his previous stint in San Jose, scoring 14 goals and adding three assists.
“We’re delighted to welcome Simon back to San Jose,” San Jose general manager John Doyle said in a club release. “He has a tremendous amount of experience in England as well as internationally.
