Defense key in CCL final first leg for short-handed America

After Tigres' attack showed its capabilities in the league, Club America's defense must put in a strong 90 minutes in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League.

MONTERREY, Mexico — Club America is the defending CONCACAF champion, but Las Aguilas will have to hang on for the ride to repeat.

In the first leg here, they'll be without right back Paul Aguilar, forward Darwin Quintero, midfielder Michael Arroyo and goalkeeper Moises Munoz, among others, because of a combination of injury and suspension.

That's given the home team plenty of reason for optimism ahead of Wednesday's first-leg clash.
