The 16-year-old is United's youngest homegrown signing ever, and will join the club on a full-time basis in the fall of 2017.
D.C. United has announced the signing of U.S. Under-17 captain and academy product Chris Durkin as a homegrown player.
Durkin, at 16 years 127 days, is the youngest homegrown signing in United's history.
“We are excited that Chris will begin his professional career with us,” United general manager and VP of soccer operations Dave Kasper said in a club release. “His maturity, ambition and understanding of the game are unparalleled for a player of his age.
