The veteran ends his career in the top 10 of various MLS records, as well as having the distinction as the most fouled player in the history of the league.
D.C. United midfielder Davy Arnaud has announced his retirement.
The 35-year-old called time on a 14-year career spent entirely in Major League Soccer after he was unable to shake off the concussion issues that ended his 2015 season prematurely. He will transition to a full-time coaching role with DCU.
“Davy has had a remarkable playing career and we greatly appreciate what he has brought to our club over the past two seasons,” United general manager Dave Kasper said in a club release.
