Calvert-Lewin could not direct a number of first-half crosses into the net, while Tosun saw his flicked effort spectacularly kept out by Guaita in the second half. Digne then saw his deflected cross crash off the post in Everton's final major chance of the game. Palace failed to create much over the course of the match and failed to register a shot on target, but Hodgson's side will feel some pride in holding Silva's side to a draw in a game where they were often on the back foot.
