CONCACAF Watch: Will Copa America Centenario lead to more mixing?

It will be tough for administrators in the Americas to resist the allure of more combined tournament in the future after the Copa America Centenario's off-field success.

The Copa America Centenario was a success. At least, from the organizers' perspective.

For all the merited cynicism about the tournament not mattering to the teams involved, some stadiums not filling with fans for games where ticket prices were exorbitant and player fatigue, the tournament came off well. Never before in its 100-year history has a Copa America drawn so many fans, with an average attendance higher than 46,000 fans per game.
