Cameroon start Women's World Cup preparations with China invitational tournament

After four-month hiatus, Cameroon will play their first test-match in China's four-nation event as they prepare for 2019 Women's World Cup in France in June.

The Indomitable Lionesses are making their second appearance on the global stage and have been placed against Canada, New Zealand and the Netherland in Group E.

In January, Coach Alain Djeumfa took over from sacked erstwhile Joseph Ndoko, who led the team to a third place finish at the 2018 African Women's Cup of Nations in Ghana.

With three months to this summer's global championship, the France-bound side are yet to play any high-profile friendly since Ghana 2018 last December.
